Karla M. Niemann

Karla M. Niemann is a graduate of Freeport High School, Highland Community College, Northern Illinois University and Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida.
Karla has practiced law since 2002 and represents clients in various areas of civil and criminal litigation. She concentrates her practice in family law, adoptions, guardianships, juvenile matters, DUI’s, traffic tickets, expungement and sealing of criminal records, wills, powers of attorney, and personal injury litigation. Karla has also written many appellate briefs and argued a case before the Second District Appellate Court in Elgin, IL.
Karla was an Assistant State's Attorney from 2003 – 2007 with the Stephenson County State's Attorney's Office in Freeport, IL. Since 2007 she has been engaged in private practice of law.
Karla is a member of the Stephenson County Bar Association where she serves as treasurer, Illinois State Bar Association, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, League of Women Voters, and Freeport Noon Kiwanis Club. She is a former board member at the Stephenson County Historical Society, a former board member for the Tyler's Justice Center for Children in Stockton, IL and served on the Human Rights Commission at Malcom Eaton Enterprises, Freeport, Illinois.
